Dear CDV Software Entertainment,

I think it’s a damn fine thing you’ve decided to bring those twin titans of verbose genre fiction, A.C. Doyle and H.P. Lovecraft, together in a videogame. Pitting Sherlock Holmes against mighty Cthulhu is a stroke of genius, and surely only matched by Frank Miller’s magnum opus, Batman vs. Osama bin Laden.

That’s some sexy box art, too. Well done!

Hmm can I play Cthulhu? I would prefer not to play as the drug using violin player.

I thought Christopher Nolan had already made it plainly clear in BATMAN BEGINS that Wayne Industries was once a war profiteer, but I guess he really wants to underscore it with the new one. Damnation.

And you’re right, of course, about Miller trying to build a time machine so he can send himself back to the 1940s. In fact, I’ll be talking about it during the upcoming GNI fest @ PNCA this month. Stay tuned for details…
